Tejas - Make In India's Success

The addition of new Light Combat Aircraft, Tejas in the Indian Air Force is the true reason for pride to the Indians, since Tejas is the world's smallest & lightest "Supersonic Fighter". Tejas designed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is matter of much bigger pride of India since it has been designed & developed in the very own soil of India. Tejas is considered to be best in it's Class A4+ Generation, along with features of Stealth Aircraft. This Light Combat Aircraft was officially named "Teajas" in 2003 meaning "Radiant" in Sansikrit by former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee is an asset of true pride for the Indian Air Force and also a gift to the nation by the Narendra Modi government showing real success of the Make In India initiative. 

The Tejas is the second supersonic fighter developed by Hindutan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) after the HAL HF-24 Marut. As of 2016 the Tejas MK1 was in production for the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the naval version was undergoing flight tests for Indian Navy (IN).
